This Book is a reprint of a catalog American Watch Co, Waltham Mass. New Orleans Exposition, 1884-85. Worlds Fair, known as the Cotton Centennial Exposition, was held at Audubon Park, New Orleans, 1884-1885. American Watch Co.s products, won five first place awards in competition at this Fair. A 36 page catalog, with four additional pages of illustrations, on the front and back sides of the covers, containing advertisements of clocks, watches, jewelry and hardware was prepared by the American Watch Co. and distributed at this Fair. The final year of the Fair 1885 was the year that this firm changed its name to the American Waltham Co. Fourteen pages of the text describe the operations in manufacturing at the Waltham Works at that date. This was an extract from the Scientific American, Aug. 1884. Numerous interesting trade advertisements are presented. These concern both watch and clock firms, as well as many supporting industries. The last page, which was not an original part of this catalog, presents A CARD, claiming superiority of Waltham watches by the agent, Robbins & Appleton, on one side. The other side has a trade advertisement of the NEW FULL PLATE movement from the September 1869 Watchmaker & Jeweler. This book has a soft cover, 38 pages, and size is 5 1/2 X 8 � inches.
